6 Monument – Like a parking lot post where a young horse can spy the entire field; will be grinding in the lane.
3 Old Man Lake – Rare field where all 6 starters won their last start; from the hot Jeff Mullins barn.
Long Shot – 4 Pearl Daddy
Race 2 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $50,000, Claiming $40,000, 3-year-olds and up
4 Close to the Edge – Slight edge due to the big class drop; another will good early speed, we’ll see who keeps on going.
2 Peacenik – Tepid chalk ran OK off the claim by Bill Spawr; best weapon is speed in a race loaded with early speed.
Long Shot – 3 Five Star David
Race 3 – 5 furlongs (turf, rail at 7 feet), Purse $71,000, Optional claiming $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
5 Glee – Been away 10-months, makes her U.S. debut for Mike Mitchell; is a ship and win horse so she could be wound tight.
6 Lemon Hero – Logical chalk off the class relief from stakes races for this; her race two back is fast enough to beat these.
Long Shot – 4 Tasty Treat
Race 4 – 6 furlongs, Purse $28,000, Maiden claiming $30,000, 3-year-olds and up
4 Bold Agressor – Did everything but win last out in his career debut; if he improves one step he’ll be double tough.
7 Bull Time – Sliding down the maiden claiming ladder to this level; second time out with blinkers on for Bob Hess.
Long Shot – 8 His Royal Highness
Race 5 – 1 mile, Purse $70,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds and up
2 Toruk Makto – Second best last time in a solid effort; repeat effort may be good enough, saves all the ground inside.
7 Regulus – Tepid chalk in another difficult race card; blinkers off and can show a lot of early speed.
Long Shot – 9 Seal the Deal
Race 6 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 7 feet), Purse $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
8 Chimi Dee – Could not overcome a poor start last time out; deep closer is always at the mercy of the early pace.
1 Budidinha – Figures to get another ground saving trip inside; the big negative is her 1-for-26 lifetime record.
Long Shot – 10 On Time Again
Race 7 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $71,000, Optional claiming $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
5 Maker Or Breaker – Favorite looked like she lost all chance in her debut with a poor start; came flying 4-wide to get up in time.
2 Romantic Wish – Unlucky to finish second three times in a row; has enough tactical speed to sit a perfect stalking trip.
Long Shot – 6 Lady Pecan
Race 8 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $24,000, Claiming $16,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
5 Three Cuties – Iggy Puglisi and Paul Aguirre have yet to replicate their Betfair Hollywood success; takes another class drop.
14 My Diane – Must draw in off the also eligible list; she is sliding down the claiming ladder to this career low class.
