Race 2 – 6 furlongs, Purse $50,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

5 Magic School – Favorite in debut and ran OK, albeit greenly; slow early, fast late, Garrett Gomez returns.

1 Sweet Baguette – Favored in debut in NoCal stakes 10 months ago; was flattered when Perfect Curls won next out.

Long Shot – 6 Nana Beach

Race 3 – 7 furlongs, Purse $27,000, Maiden claiming $40,000, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up

3 Tapfortexas – Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; adding blinkers on too.

1a Warren’s Tiger – Big rider switch to Rafael Bejarano for the money shot; ran much better for a price tag.

Long Shot – 6 Red Dwarf

Race 4 – 6 furlongs (turf, rail at 20 feet), Purse $38,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds

3 Desperate Measures – Suspect with P Val will be sent to the front; rail out 20 feet will aid the speed.

8 No Afillyation – Hate the parking lot post but like the horse; must carve out a trip from a tough position.

Long Shot – 7 Forty Paces

4 Ranchero – Bob Baffert has an uncoupled entry, double tough; stretching out around 2 turns for the first time.

3 Cook Inlet – Has lost to talented foes, The Factor and Spud Spivens in two starts; clearly the one to beat.

Race 6 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $20,000, Claiming $16,000, 3-year-olds and up

7 The Hunt Is On – Tiny edge in a difficult NW2L heat; no one in here likes to win so one will inherit the victory.

8 Hiatus – Solid second in last, sounds familiar in this field; big rider switch to Rafael Bejarano.

1 Rio Good – Gary Sherluck has run some fast babies this meet at long odds; this one figures to be more popular.
