MWC Tournament semifinals: BYU defeats New Mexico, San Diego State downs UNLV

Jimmer Fredette scored a career-high 52 points in No. 8 BYU’s 87-76 win over nemesis New Mexico in the Mountain West Conference semifinals Friday night. In the nightcap, D.J. Gay’s late bucket lifted the San Diego State over the hometown Runnin’ Rebels, 74-72.
