Lakers lead Pistons

Lakers lead Pistons

Devin Ebanks had 12 points in the first half as the Los Angeles Lakers opened a 46-36 lead over the Detroit Pistons in the third game of the first day at the NBA Vegas Summer League.
Derrick Caracter had nine points for the Lakers in the half.
Former Gonzaga star Austin Daye has 12 points and four rebounds to lead the Pistons.
Detroit’s first-round pick Greg Monroe had six points and three steals, while his former Georgetown teammate DaJuan Summers scored all seven of his points from the free-throw line.

Still not forgiven

Jordan Eglseder is suited up for the Detroit Pistons.
There are still some fans here who aren’t willing to forgive the bruising center for helping eliminate UNLV from the NCAA Tournament in March.
Eglseder was part of the Northern Iowa team that defeated the Rebels before shocking top-ranked Kansas in the second round to advance to the Sweet 16.
As Eglseder was warming up prior to the game, a few fans had some not-so-flattering things to say.
It probably would have been much worse for Ali Farokhmanesh, the Northern Iowa player that hit the game-winning shot

Locos dancers

The Las Vegas Locomotives, err Locos, err, you know what? I don’t really know what they are supposed to be called.
So we’ll just say the Las Vegas UFL franchise has provided its dance team to stand on the baselines and cheer for this game.
Good for those ladies.
It will be the biggest and most boisterous crowd they cheer in front of all year.
