Allegiant Stadium will host college basketball powerhouses Duke, Arizona, Kansas and Indiana in 2027 for the Hall of Fame series.
The event, scheduled for Nov. 12, 2027, will pit Arizona against Duke and Kansas against Indiana. The matchups will serve as a warm up for the 2028 Final Four, which will take place at Allegiant Stadium. The Hall of Fame series will kick off the 2027-2028 NCAA basketball season.
“That pairs (up) starting the season here and ending the season here,” said Steve Hill, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
The four schools have won a combined 16 national titles, have produced over 35 Hall of Famers and have rabid fan bases that travel well to away games.
“That’s going to be an exceptional year of college basketball,” Hill said. “It always is here in Las Vegas, with a tremendous heritage of basketball here in this city.”
The Hall of Fame series kicked off a five-year agreement to host games in Las Vegas last year.
This year’s event will feature Texas and Ohio State’s men’s teams and Michigan and South Carolina’s women’s teams at T-Mobile Arena on Nov. 4.
Adding two games featuring college basketball blue bloods at Allegiant Stadium was a logical next step, according to Melissa Meacham-Grossman, president of Position Sports, which owns the Hall of Fame series.
“The mission of the Hall of Fame series is to create premium neutral-site events for fans,” Meachum-Grossman said. “As Las Vegas prepares to host the men’s Final Four in 2028, we are excited to tip off the season with this event.”
Raiders president Sandra Douglass Morgan is excited to welcome a new kind of experience to Allegiant Stadium, which has already hosted Super Bowl 58, massive concerts, high-profile college football games and several other notable events.
“We are proud to show off to a new fan base and a new demographic of fans the incredible guest experience that our stadium has to offer,” Morgan said.
