Harper returns to majors, homers in first at-bat
Bryce Harper made sure his return from the disabled list had an impact on Monday, as he hit a solo home run in his first at-bat.
According to ESPN, Harper hit the home run for the Nationals in the bottom of the first inning with two outs off of Milwaukee Brewers’ pitcher Yovani Gallardo. The hit broke a scoreless tie.
Harper was initially placed on the DL on June 1 with bursitis in his left knee.
