Donald Trump, North Korea, patriotism and the flag

In his recent letter, Richard Platt said he has “lost patriotism” because President Donald Trump stood with the leader of North Korea with our flag first and North Korea’s second. Did he feel the same shame when Barack Obama stood with Castro, and the Cuban flag was before the American flag?
