VP candidate JD Vance set to hold rally in Henderson
Republican vice presidential nominee and Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio will hold a rally in Henderson next week, marking his first trip as a vice presidential candidate to Nevada.
Vance, who former President Donald Trump announced as his running mate during the Republican National Convention, will deliver remarks at noon Tuesday at Liberty High School, according to the Trump-Vance campaign.
“We are excited to welcome Senator and soon to be Vice President JD Vance to the Silver State!” Nevada Republican Party Chairman Michael McDonald said in a statement. “It was my honor to meet and speak with him at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee just a few days ago, and I look forward to showing him hospitality as he visits the entertainment capital of the world and The Biggest Little City.”
Nevadans can expect to see big political figures make campaign stops leading up to the November election, as all eyes on are the battleground state, which could play a critical role in choosing the next president.
Those interested in securing general admission tickets for Vance’s rally, located at 3700 Liberty Heights Ave., must RSVP online.
Vance will then travel to Reno, where he will hold a rally at the Reno Sparks Convention Center at 3:30 p.m., according to the campaign. On Wednesday, he will speak in Glendale, Arizona, another swing state.
