Fighter jets collide on ground at Nellis Air Force Base
Two F-16 Fighting Falcons collided shortly after landing at Nellis Air Force Base on Saturday morning.
The jets, assigned to the 301st Fighter Wing, Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth, Texas, crashed about 11:20 a.m.
The two pilots were evaluated for injuries, a Nellis spokesman said in a statement. The extent of the pilots’ injuries had not been released as of Monday night.
A safety board will convene to investigate the incident, the base said. A public affairs officer could not be reached for more information.
