An 18-year-old Las Vegas man has been charged in the shooting death of a North Las Vegas woman last week.
Nedra Williams, 29, was found with a gunshot wound to the head in the front yard of a single-family house in the 3600 block of King Charles Street about 11 p.m. May 15, North Las Vegas police said.
Dante Bousley was charged with murder with a deadly weapon, three counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon and shooting into an occupied dwelling. He’s been booked into the North Las Vegas Detention Center.
Bousley was shooting into a group of people at the residence at the time, said police spokesman Sean Walker. Williams was the only person hit. There is no connection between Bousley and the victim, he said.
The motive for the shooting was still under investigation.

A building under construction in the northwest valley was destroyed and two others damaged when a fire tore through the site Tuesday afternoon.
Las Vegas firefighters were called about 2:10 p.m. with reports of the blaze at the Village of Centennial Springs construction site in the 8400 block of Farm Road, near Durango Drive, Fire Department spokesman Tim Szymanski said.
One building was destroyed and two others had exterior damage, Szymanski said. A car was also destroyed.
Damage was estimated at $1.5 million.

The cause of the fire was still under investigation.
I-15 NEAR SLOAN
40-year-old Henderson man died in crash
The 40-year-old Henderson truck driver who died after the rig he was driving slammed into a median on Interstate 15 near Sloan on Monday morning was Ross T. Haskie Jr., officials said.
Haskie was southbound on Las Vegas Boulevard near Sloan at about 9 a.m. when he lost control of the semi, broke through a barrier and crossed two northbound lanes. The semi then hit a center median and became engulfed in flames.
The exact cause of Haskie’s death and the cause of the crash remained under investigation Tuesday.

Passenger killed in collision identified
Authorities said Linda Wilson was the 50-year-old Las Vegas woman who died in a car accident on Monday afternoon at Cheyenne Avenue near Jones Boulevard.
Wilson was riding in a 1994 Hyundai sedan about 3:20 p.m. on Cheyenne when the driver, who was making a left turn onto Michael Way, cut in front of an oncoming 1996 Ford Ranger, police said.
The Ford struck the passenger side of the Hyundai. Police said Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the Hyundai, 44-year-old Charles Wilson, was taken to University Medical Center with moderate injuries.
Charles Wilson remained hospitalized at UMC on Tuesday.
WARM SPRINGS ROAD
Eastbound lane of bridge over I-15 closed
The eastbound lane of the Warm Springs Road bridge at Interstate 15 will remain closed for at least two weeks for repairs, Nevada Department of Transportation officials said.
The bridge was damaged Monday morning, when a forklift that was being hauled by a truck on I-15 struck the east side of the bridge, leaving a six-foot gash in the structure and damaging several re-inforcement rods, said Transportation Department spokesman Bob McKenzie.
The bridge was originally expected to reopen on Tuesday, but engineers discovered the damage was more extensive than first thought.
"We realize the inconvenience, but it’s necessary to ensure safety," McKenzie said.
The westbound side of the bridge remains open, he said.
He said crews will work from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. to limit traffic disturbances.
