Girl Power reunited revisits LV, one of three U.S. locales

Need to spice up your life this winter without the requisite heartburn?

Well then, you just might be in luck.

Girl power comes to Sin City on Dec. 8, when a reunited Spice Girls are tentatively set to perform at a venue to be announced.

In addition to shows in Los Angeles and New York, Vegas will be but one of three U.S. markets the Girls will visit on their proposed tour, with other stops planned for London; Cologne, Germany; Madrid, Spain; Beijing; Hong Kong; Sydney, Australia; Cape Town, South Africa; and Buenos Aires, Argentina.

It will be the first time that the group’s full lineup has performed together since 1998.

The alter-egoed Spice Girls, who consist of Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham), Sporty Spice (Melanie Chisholm), Ginger Spice (Geri Halliwell), Baby Spice (Emma Bunton) and Scary Spice (Melanie Brown) initially came to fame with their multiplatinum 1996 debut, “Spice,” which was propelled by effervescent, femme-first hits like “Wannabe” and “Say You’ll Be There.”

After becoming an international pop phenomenon, the Girls starred in their own movie, “Spice World,” and notched a successful sophomore disc before beginning to splinter when Halliwell left the group in 1998.

The remaining Spice Girls released the poorly received, misleadingly titled “Forever” disc in 2001, but called it a day soon thereafter.

Since then, the Girls have remained tabloid fodder with Posh Spice marrying English soccer star David Beckham and Brown recently giving birth to a child fathered by Eddie Murphy.

The Girls last performed in Las Vegas in August 1998, when they drew more than 12,000 fans to a sold-out Thomas & Mack Center.
