Interim UNR president earns backing for permanent post
April 18, 2012 - 6:53 pm
Marc Johnson, interim leader of the University of Nevada, Reno, should become the permanent president of the school, a higher education panel decided Wednesday.
Johnson took over the university after its former president, Milton Glick, died in office last year. Johnson had been the provost since 2008.
A Board of Regents committee considered Johnson and two other finalists for the permanent job. The full board will meet today to decide on the recommendation.
