Windy conditions, cooler temps expected on Sunday
The National Weather Service has canceled the fire weather watch it announced earlier Saturday.
Meteorologists expected the fire risk to be high because of forecast low humidity but said Saturday night that a cool front rolling in will bring a higher humidity and a lower fire risk.
Saturday reached a high of 81 degrees, which is expected to drop to 69 on Sunday. Monday’s forecast high is 60.
Tuesday’s high will rebound to 67 before Wednesday, the coldest day of the week, drops to a high of 54. Highs of 61 and 68 are expected Thursday and Friday, respectively.
“It’s going to be quite a bit chillier tomorrow,” meteorologist John Salmen said Saturday. “Both the temperature and the breezy winds will make it feel quite a bit colder than what we’ve experienced here in a while.”
