Warm and a little windy for weekend in Las Vegas Valley
The Las Vegas Valley can expect a warm weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
Friday saw a high of 87, about three degrees hotter than the average high temperature for this time of year, meteorologist Chris Outler said.
Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high of 91 and gusts about 25 mph or less in the afternoon, he said.
Sunday’s forecast has a high of 88, also with sunny weather.
Temperatures will drop next week as a weather system moves into the valley. While the forecast for the system is dry now, Outler said that may change.
“It may turn a little wetter as it gets closer,” he said.
The high temperature for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday is 81 degrees with partly cloudy conditions, the weather service said.
The Spring Mountains will see scattered showers Monday and Tuesday while the valley should remain dry, meteorologist Kate Guillet said.
Wednesday has a 30 percent chance of showers for the valley, the weather service said.
Low temperatures will be in the mid 60s through the weekend before dropping into the low 60s to high 50s early next week.
