Valley expected to remain cool and dry for the coming week
After a few days that saw some light rain in the valley, the rest of the weekend and coming week are expected to stay cool and dry.
The high on Sunday is expected to be 53 degrees, and a low around 37 predicted for Sunday night.
National Weather Service meteorologist Barry Pierce said the chances of rain are low on Sunday, with light showers possible but unlikely. Precipitation is more likely in the mountains, with Mount Charleston likely to receive another 1 to 3 inches of snow.
“Much of the coming week” is expected to stay cool and dry, Pierce said. Winds are not expected to reach high speeds in the coming days. Pierce said that the temperatures next week are likely to stay in the mid-50s.
