If it felt hot when you stepped outside Monday, it was because temperatures reached 100 degrees, the National Weather Service said.
However, lower temperatures, cloudy skies and showers are bound for Las Vegas, at least until Thursday, meteorologist Clay Morgan said. The highs for those days are projected to be in the low to mid-90s due to the increase of clouds and moisture.
Increased cloud cover will begin rolling in as early as Tuesday, bringing with it the chance of showers that will last through Thursday, meteorologist Jim Harrison said.
The chance for thunderstorms for Tuesday is 30 percent, and there is also a 20 percent chance for rain for Wednesday and Thursday, Morgan said.
