Lower than average cold brings wind and rain to Las Vegas Valley
Following a week of higher than average temperatures, the Las Vegas Valley will begin to cool down, the National Weather Service said.
Saturday’s temperature is expected to reach a high of 55 degrees, and a low of 39 degrees, with mostly clear skies.
Although Sunday is expected to warm up slightly at a high of 58 degrees and low of 44 degrees, colder weather will come on Monday, along with overcast skies.
Rain is expected midweek, with possibility of snow near Mt. Charleston, according to National Weather Service meteorologist Chad Shafer.
Winds are predicted to rise, with the strongest gusts up to 30 mph Sunday evening.
Temperatures this week will continue to drop below average, with temperatures Monday night expected to be near freezing.
