Las Vegas ski resort opening delayed until Dec. 12
The Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard resort is feeling the impact of inclement weather, according to spokeswoman Veronica Kawka.
The resort, which was supposed to open Thanksgiving weekend, has postponed its expected opening date another week, until Dec. 12.
Mount Charleston saw snow flurries Wednesday morning, but the rainfall in the afternoon wiped it away, Kawka said.
The good news after Wednesday and Thursday’s rainfall is that there is more rain in the resort’s reservoir, which is used to produce snow.
The resort is holding off on blowing any new snow until the rainy weather is gone for certain, Kawka said.
