Cool weather ahead for Las Vegas Valley

You may want to get out those ugly holiday sweaters a little early this year, Las Vegas.

Temperatures will only reach the low 60s during the beginning of this first week of November, according to the National Weather Service.

“We’re going to go from above normal to below normal,” NWS meteorologist Andy Gorelow said Sunday morning.

The forecast high today is 80 degrees, about seven degrees above normal, and the low is 60.

A cooling trend will sweep through the valley Monday, along with strong, 20-30 mph winds. A wind advisory has been issued.

By Tuesday, temperatures will peak at around 60, and some parts of town will drop into the 40s, Gorelow said.

There is a 30-percent chance for rain Monday night into Tuesday.
