Chance of rain Tuesday, warmer temperatures by Thursday

The rain won’t stick around and warmer temperatures, which came Wednesday are forecast to continue, the National Weather Service said.

The clouds that lingered in the sky Tuesday brought slight showers only in the afternoon, meteorologist Jim Harrison said. The northwest valley got the most rain and that only amounted to about 0.20 inches.

Snow fell on the Spring Mountains on Tuesday, but there was no official measurement, Harrison said.

Wednesday’s high temperature was 60 degrees; Thursday’s forecast high is 61 degrees.
