‘An ideal stretch of fall weather’ forecast for Las Vegas
Sunny, mild, light winds, repeat.
That sums up the weather forecast for most of the workweek in the Las Vegas Valley. Monday’s high temperature at McCarran International Airport was 81 degrees.
Overnight lows were expected to fall to around 57, with a possible light breeze.
“It’s just an ideal stretch of fall weather this week,” said meteorologist John Adair of the National Weather Service.
Temperatures are set to bump up to slightly above normal at 82-87 degrees Tuesday before climbing a few degrees higher to the upper 80s on Wednesday and Thursday.
Overnight lows again are expected to be in the mid-50s. Thursday likely will see some winds around 15 to 25 miles per hour, with gusts up to 35 miles per hour, according to the weather service.
A cool-down is expected to begin Friday, with highs in the mid-80s, before becoming more noticeable Saturday and Sunday, when the highs will drop to 80 and 73, respectively.
“It will not be as strong as the cold front we had last week, but it will cool it down about five degrees on Friday and a bit more on the weekend,” Adair said.
