Coroner’s office identifies motorcyclist killed in Thursday morning accident

The man who died Thursday morning after a motorcycle accident has been identified by the Clark County coroner.

Jay Abalos, 30, of Las Vegas, rear-ended a car while trying to change lanes on Desert Inn Road about 4 a.m. Thursday. The driver of the Nissan Altima he hit was unhurt.

Abalos was taken to University Medical Center, where he died.

The Clark County coroner’s office had not yet released Abalos’ cause of death.
