Updated June 3, 2022 - 5:49 pm

A motorcyclist died in a crash in Summerlin on Friday.

Las Vegas police spokesman Larry Hadfield said officers were called to Town Center and Garden Mist drives, near West Desert Inn Road, at 12:20 p.m. and found a motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries.

A 21-year-old Las Vegas man riding a “2020 Yamaha MTN 850” died at the scene, according to a Metropolitan Police Department press release.

A 2019 Tesla Model 3 headed west on Garden Mist in the left-turn lane, to make a southbound turn onto Town Center. The motorcycle was northbound on Town Center and hit the left side of the Tesla, according to the release.

The driver of the Tesla remained on scene, and impairment was not suspected, police said.

The Clark County Fire Department also responded to the scene.
