A collision between a 2007 Ford F-250 and an 2023 Honda TRX250(Recon) four-wheeler occurred about 6 p.m., according to Shawn Haggstrom of the Nevada Highway Patrol.
According to a preliminary investigation, the four-wheeled failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign on Bowman Avenue and entered the path of the Ford on SR 169.
Despite the Ford’s attempt to steer away from the four-wheeler to avoid a crash, the four-wheeler collided with the Ford’s right front and both passengers in the four-wheeeler were ejected, the Highway Patrol said.
One juvenile died at the scene and a second was taken to an hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
