Vehicle fire backs up US 95 North near Charleston
A vehicle fire on northbound U.S. Highway 95 slowed traffic briefly Tuesday evening, according to the Regional Transportation Commission.
Las Vegas firefighters responded to the fire on U.S. 95, near East Charleston Boulevard, about 5:14 p.m., according to a fire alarm site.
Nevada Department of Transportation traffic cameras showed traffic narrowed to two lanes near the truck fire and cars backed up to at least Desert Inn Road about 5:40 p.m.
The fire was extinguished and the fire engine left the scene by 5:50 p.m.
Nevada Highway Patrol vehicles and the truck involved in the fire were blocking only the emergency lane, cameras showed.
