ROAD ALERT: Lamb to close for bridge work

Lamb Boulevard will be closed Thursday night and Friday morning between Washington and Owens avenues for a pedestrian bridge construction project.

Lamb will close from 9 p.m. Thursday to 4 a.m., Friday to pour the concrete deck for the $2.7 million bridge, part of the Las Vegas Wash Trail. Nellis Boulevard and Pecos Road are recommended as alternate routes.

The project is funded by the Bureau of Land management through the sale of public lands authorized by the Southern Nevada Public Land Management Act.

The trail will become part of the 200-mile Las Vegas Wash Regional Trail system. The bridge and improvements are expected to be completed by the end of the year.
