NV Energy working on Henderson power outage
Only 23 Henderson homes remained without power Saturday afternoon after a morning outage, according to NV Energy.
The outage, which originally affected over 3,000 homes, began shortly before 11 a.m. in the 89015 and 89002 ZIP code areas, in Henderson near U.S Highway 95, the company said.
After 40 minutes, only 550 customers remained without power. That number then increased to over 1,700, NV Energy said.
The cause for the outage was under investigation and power was restored by 3:30 p.m.
This was the second major outage reported in the Las Vegas Valley in fewer than 24 hours. An outage affected about 2,200 customers for about two hours on Friday afternoon.
