Most of the condos evacuated because of storm ready for residents again

The Atrium Condominium complex is open again after a severe thunderstorm Friday night sent trees into homes and broke gas lines.

There are 35 buildings in the community near Pecos Road and Washington Avenue, and 25 of them are ready for residents to move back in by Wednesday evening, according to city official Jace Radke.

The other 10 structures suffered the heaviest damage from the storm. They still have no power or gas, and many need contractor work.

NV Energy, Southwest Gas, the homeowner’s association and condo management will continue working with CLV Building and Safety to get the last of the residences recovered from the storm.
