Man, 19, arrested for DUI in fatal crash
A 19-year-old man was arrested Saturday on suspected drunken driving charges after police said he struck and killed a woman with his car.
Las Vegas police said Ivan Pantoja-Lizarraga was driving a 1999 Mercedes Benz E320 on Upland Boulevard, near Jones Boulevard and Alta Drive, when he struck and killed a 46-year-old woman.
The woman was standing behind a 1994 Ford Ranger when she was struck. She died at University Medical Center.
The county coroner’s office will identify the woman after next of kin is notified.
Pantoja-Lizarraga was booked at the county jail on a charge of DUI causing death.
