Incident with substitute teacher forces lockdown at Foothill High School
Foothill High School was briefly on lockdown Friday morning because of an “incident involving a substitute teacher,” according to Clark County School District spokeswoman Melinda Malone.
She wouldn’t elaborate on what the substitute did but said Henderson police were called to the school, near U.S. Highway 95 and College Drive, and students were cleared from the area around the substitute. No students were threatened or harmed, Malone said.
School District police said the substitute had a “medical episode” but would release no further details, citing medical privacy laws.
The Review-Journal’s calls to Henderson police asking about details of the incident and whether an arrest was made were not immediately returned.
