Fire causes $200,000 damage to Henderson apartment complex
An early morning fire displaced 16 people and caused an estimated $200,000 damage Saturday at a Henderson apartment complex.
Two apartments were heavily damaged, according to a news release from the Henderson Fire Department.
Two crews battled the fire at a complex near Lake Mead Parkway and Center Street. Residents evacuated before the fire trucks arrived just after 12:30 a.m. Saturday. The fire was extinguished after about 20 minutes.
Eight apartments sustained smoke damage and the American Red Cross assisted residents forced from the building. Two people were injured. One was transported to a hospital; the other was treated at the scene.
