Emergency landing made in Las Vegas

A commercial aircraft bound from Miami to San Francisco made an emergency landing Friday in Las Vegas after the pilot reported faint smoke in the cockpit.
American Airlines flight 431 landed safely at McCarran International Airport just before 11:10 a.m. No injuries were reported.
The aircraft was being checked by mechanics in Las Vegas .
Later Friday, officials said a commuter aircraft flying from Los Angeles to Reno made an emergency landing in Fresno, Calif., after complaints of fumes in the cabin.
Officials said American Eagle Flight 3024 landed safely at 1:40 p.m. Friday after fumes were detected. There were no reports of injuries .
