Eastern reopens at Viking after collision
Eastern Avenue was shut down Tuesday evening for several hours by a crash that sent one person to an area hospital.
Las Vegas police supervisor Lt. Mark Reddon said a black truck and a silver truck collided about 6 p.m. in the intersection of Eastern and Viking Road, north of Flamingo Road.
Reddon said one of the drivers was sent to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. The extent of the injuries was unknown.
One of the pickups ran a red light, Reddon said, but it was unclear which one it was.
One of the trucks was also on fire briefly. The intersection was closed for several hours during cleanup.
