Daniel DiRisio, 19, received the Biola University Academic and Service Scholarship for the 2011-12 school year. The school is in La Mirada, Calif.
This scholarship is awarded to graduating high school seniors with an overall cumulative grade-point average of 3.75 or higher.
DiRisio is studying political science with an emphasis in pre-law. A 2011 graduate of Bishop Gorman High School, he is the son of Dr. Gary DiRisio and Debra DiRisio of Las Vegas.
Thomas Snow has achieved Eagle Scout status in the Boy Scouts of America.
A member of Troop 508, Snow collected children’s items for Safe Nest for his Eagle project.
He enjoys camping and riding dirt bikes in his free time.
A student at Northwest Career and Technical Academy, Snow is the son of Philip and Jeanette Snow of Las Vegas.
Andrew Snow has achieved Eagle Scout status in the Boy Scouts of America.
A member of Troop 508, he helped refurbish the We Care center for his Eagle project.
He enjoys hiking, running, cooking and biking in his free time.

Joshua Calvin Ruesch has achieved Eagle Scout status in the Boy Scouts of America.
A member of Troop 589, he built and installed raised planting beds at the East Las Vegas Senior Center.
He enjoys football, video games, camping and sports in his free time. Ruesch is the son of Darren and Sharon Ruesch of Las Vegas.
Michael Roger Gauron II has achieved Eagle Scout status in the Boy Scouts of America.
A member of Troop 143, he painted a mural at the Mike O’Callaghan Federal Hospital’s pediatric waiting center for his Eagle project.
He enjoys hiking, shooting, paintball, camping, rock climbing, flying and reading in his free time. A student in the Aviation Magnet Department at Rancho High School, Gauron is the son of Michael and Mary Kay Gauron of Las Vegas.
Angelica M. Riordan has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.
Riordan is the daughter of James and Aurea Riordan of Henderson.
