FIRST FOOD & BAR PLANS THANKSGIVING MENU
FIRST Food & Bar at The Shoppes at the Palazzo plans to serve a special Thanksgiving menu Thursday, with seating times available at 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 p.m. The bar will open at 11 a.m.
The cost is $39 per person, $19.50 for children 5 to 12 and free for children 4 or younger.
The menu includes hot mulled apple cider, roasted pumpkin corn bisque, turkey with giblet gravy, sides and choices of prime rib or roasted salmon. Dessert is a pie bar and chocolate chip cookies.
Left-over-stuffed Thanksgiving Day sandwiches will be available after 9 p.m.

STK TO HOST THANKSGIVING DINNER AT the COSMOPOLITAN
STK at the Cosmopolitan plans to serve Thanksgiving dinner Thursday for $48, with $6 from each meal sold going to Three Square food bank.

Wildfire Rancho, 1901 N. Rancho Drive, plans to host an all-you-can-eat barbecue event on the patio (weather permitting) from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Barley’s Casino & Brewing Co., 4500 E. Sunset Road in Henderson, plans to host a barbecue event on its patio from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The buffet is set to include smoked brisket, pork ribs, kielbasa sausage and sides such as baked beans and macaroni and cheese. Wildfire Rancho also plans to feature live entertainment from jazz/pop guitarist Calvin Brooks.

The menu is set to feature rustic risotto poppers, served with 2010 Fume Blanc; insalata Johnny Rocco (grilled shrimp, and scallops, roasted red bell peppers, ricotta salata), served with 2009 Tre Terre Russian River Chardonnay; homemade sausage and lentil soup, served with 2008 Sonoma County Merlot; chicken Parmesan and homemade lasagna, served with 2009 Sienna Meritage-Sonoma; and Chocolate Dream (fudge brownie laced with Kahlua, chocolate mousse and fresh whipped cream), served with 2009 Eldorado Noir Russian River Dessert Wine.

GORDON BIERSCH ANNOUNCES WINTERBOCK BEER AND MENU
Gordon Biersch is offering a seasonal menu and WinterBock beer through Dec. 24.
The menu includes salt and pepper chicken, WinterBock chili, WinterBock chili cheese chips, California Cobb flatbread, red curry shrimp, butternut squash farfalle, WinterBock chili burger, grilled hanger steak and maple salmon. New to the dessert menu is pumpkin cheesecake.
WinterBock beer is a full-bodied blend of caramel and toffie maltiness with a hint of holiday spirit.

PARIS LAS VEGAS TO CELEBRATE RELEASE OF BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU
Mon Ami Gabi at Paris Las Vegas, 3655 Las Vegas Blvd. South, plans to celebrate the annual release of Beaujolais Nouveau with a five-course menu inspired by the red wine, to be served through Wednesday.
Items are set to include trout rillettes with apple slaw, tartine of smoked trout with frisee and poached egg and pan-seared whitefish with red potatoes, brussels sprout leaves, caramelized garlic and Beaujolais and bacon sauce. Blackcurrant sorbet with red wine syrup will end the meal.

MARIO BATALI TO HOST COOKING DEMONSTRATION
Chef Mario Batali plans to host a live cooking demonstration from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday by the outdoor gondolas at The Venetian.
The complimentary event is part of the first Winter in Venice at The Venetian and Palazzo. Guests can watch Batali prepare his signature pizza in a wood-burning oven, as well as interact and ask questions.
