DIVINE CAFÉ PLANS MONTHLY DINNERS

DiVine Café, 6380 S. Valley View Blvd., plans to host a Irish-themed dinner at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.

Cocktails and an open bar are set for 5:30 p.m. and dinner for 6:30 p.m. The event is part of the monthly dinners that are planned to feature a multi-course menu and unique beverage pairings. Called d*lish, a Society of Dining, Drinking and Well-behaved Debauchery, the events are for guests 21 or older.

CARRABBA’S PLANS WINE DINNER

Carrabba’s Italian Grill, 8771 W. Charleston Blvd., plans to host its Bring in the Spring Wine Dinner, featuring Chateau Ste. Michelle Wines & Portfolio, at 6:30 p.m. March 20.

The menu is set to feature Mamma Mandola’s spicy chicken soup, paired with Chateau Ste. Michelle Brut Columbia Valley; lobster mac ‘n cheese, paired with Columbia Crest Winery Horse Heaven Hills Vineyard Chardonnay 2008; insalata Carrabba Caesar salad, paired with Columbia Crest Winery Horse Heaven Hills Vineyard Merlot 2009; sirloin and crab-stuffed shrimp, paired with Chateau Ste. Michelle Cold Creek Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley 2010; and cinnamon apple crostada, paired with Chateau Ste. Michelle Harvest Select Riesling Columbia Valley 2010.

HASH HOUSE A GO GO PARTNERS WITH CUIPO FOR WATER BOTTLE SALES

Hash House A Go Go is partnering with cause-oriented organization Cuipo to support the preservation and protection of the world’s endangered rainforests.

Hash House A Go Go patrons can purchase a Cuipo water bottle during their visit to one of the four Las Vegas Valley locations, and for every bottle purchased, a meter of rainforest will be reserved for preservation.

ISLANDS FINE BURGERS & DRINKS OFFERS SURF CONTEST DINING DEALS

Islands Fine Burgers & Drinks, 10810 W. Charleston Blvd., is celebrating the 2012 Mavericks Invitational Surf Contest by offering free Maverick burgers. The surf contest happens when conditions are perfect off the coast of Half Moon Bay in California. Mavericks is expected to break any time between now and March 31, and as soon as it does, Islands will announce the competition on its Facebook page.

When Mavericks waves break, fans are encouraged to show an image of the waves via their smart phone or printed off image in order to redeem a free Mavericks Burger. The burger is made with barbecue sauce, signature Islands Reds (crispy onion straws), American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles and mayo. It is served with fries.

If the surf invitational doesn’t happen, Islands will announce via Facebook when the free burgers will be given away after March 31.

In honor of the restaurant’s Point Break Burger, Islands is offering fans the chance to receive a $5 Point Break virtual bonus card. Thursday through April 2, fans can visit Islands’ Facebook page or website at islandsrestaurants.com to upload a picture of their favorite Point Break. Once they upload the photo, fans will be sent a $5 virtual bonus card via email.

Artisan treats, live performances and a silent auction are planned. SNCF is a nonprofit organization that provides long-term transitional housing and life skills training to homeless pregnant and parenting teens and young adults ages 16 to 22.

METRO PIZZA OFFERS PIZZA-MAKING CLASSES AT TWO LOCATIONS

Metro Pizza offers cooking classes on the second Tuesday of the month at its 1395 E. Tropicana Ave. location and on the last Tuesday of the month at its 1420 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway location in Henderson.

Classes run three hours and include a multi-course meal with beverages, recipes and methods for at-home pizza making, in-depth analysis of the history, methodology, ingredients and love of pizza and hands-on training in dough making and stretching.

Snaps at the Eastside Cannery, 5255 Boulder Highway, is offering specials during March. WINE WALK SET AT LAKE LAS VEGAS TO BENEFIT NEW VISTA COMMUNITY

The Village Lake Las Vegas, 30 Strada Di Villaggio, plans to host a Toast to the Town wine walk at 7 p.m. March 31 to benefit nonprofit group New Vista Community.

Southern Wine & Spirits and Lee’s Discount Liquor plan to present a special evening of wines, cocktails, beers and cuisine sampling by restaurant partners. Live music and a silent auction also are planned.

A VIP Mingle with the Chefs is set to begin at 6 p.m., and tickets are $75 in advance only. General admission tickets for the wine walk are $50 in advance or $60 at the door.

RI RA ANNOUNCES NEW MENU ITEMS

Ri Ra at Mandalay Bay, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South, has added new items to its menu.

The Irish pub now serves stout steamed mussels and Irish cheddar mac and cheese, each $13.95 and available for lunch or dinner. New dinner starters include Pint of Prawns for $13.95 and Scotch eggs for $10.95.

New lunch selections include Cork City Cuban sandwich (house-cured ham and spicy smoked pork loin) and Cyril’s Folly (a burger topped with Cashel blue cheese, caramelized onions and Goodall’s steak sauce), each $12.95.

New dinner selections include chicken curry for $17.95, mushroom risotto for $15.95, grilled salmon for $19.95, seafood stew for $19.95, roast pork loin for $18.95 and charbroiled Porterhouse for $32.95.

ROY’S WINE CLUB TO MEET

Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine, 620 E. Flamingo Road, plans to host a waina hui (wine club) tasting from 5 to 6:30 p.m. March 16.

Each tasting features a sampling of Roy’s signature appetizers. Members receive a wine glass, an invitation to all wine club events, an invitation to Roy’s select seasonal events, a 10 percent reduction on bottled wine purchased at Roy’s and reduced pricing for select Roy’s wine dinners.

The Venetian, 3355 Las Vegas Blvd. South, and Palazzo, 3325 Las Vegas Blvd. South, plan to host the Friends of James Beard Benefit Dinner at 7 p.m. March 19 inside Palazzo’s Friends of James Beard Foundation Room.

The dinner is in honor of the foundation’s 25th anniversary. The multi-course dinner will feature some of The Venetian’s and Palazzo’s all-star culinary talent, with proceeds benefiting the foundation’s scholarship fund. A slient auction also is planned.
