Campaign reminds drivers not to leave children in vehicles

Henderson is launching a campaign reminding drivers not to leave children in hot cars on sweltering summer days.

Police and fire departments in Henderson are partnering with other groups to remind people to check the backseats for sleeping children, pets and elderly passengers when they park their vehicles.

Businesses can place posters in their windows to alert patrons about the campaign. Volunteers will also distribute red reminder ribbons that drivers can tie to their steering wheels
