Woman seriously injured after struck by car in east Las Vegas
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle early Monday morning in the east valley.
The crash occurred just before 3:20 a.m. Monday, according to a Metropolitan Police Department news release.
Police say the victim was crossing the intersection of Flamingo Road and Boulder Highway northbound when she was struck by a vehicle that was westbound on Flamingo.
The pedestrian, a 36-year-old Las Vegas woman, was admitted to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Police said that the driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
Boulder Highway was closed in both directions at East Flamingo while police investigated.
