Mountain resort to open for its summer season
Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort kicks off its summer season Saturday. The resort will be open Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Activities include scenic chairlift rides, disc golf, hiking, mountain biking and lawn games.
Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort welcomes tent and RV campers. This summer, the U.S. Forest Service is renovating its campgrounds so the resort is offering the only sites available in Lee Canyon.
The resort’s Bighorn Grill and Bristlecone Bar will be open during regular summer hours. A selection of picnic baskets will be available for purchase at the Lee Canyon General Store in the main lodge.
During Memorial Day weekend, free chairlift rides are offered to those who have served or are serving in the U.S. military and their families. Passes for summer activities can be purchased at the general store and online at skilasvegas.com.
