Parade recognizes top designs, features
The Las Vegas Parade of Homes has announced the winners from its spring home tour, recognizing the best features and designs from among the 13 homes showcased.
“All of the contributors to the Parade of Homes truly contributed to its success on a level that we could only hope for. We want to thank them and to continue a legacy for rewarding excellence in building and design,” said Lisa Hester, executive director of Las Vegas Parade of Homes.
The People’s Choice Awards were voted upon by those viewing all of the homes on the tour, while the Best of Parade Awards were chosen by professionals in the industry.
Winners are:
People’s Choice Awards: Domanico Custom Homes for Desert Oasis, best builder; Sheldon Cohen of SCA Design for The Falls, best architecture; Michaelena Perry/Nancy Wolff of Las Vegas Design Center-World Market Center for Shi-Engara, best interior design; Smart Pools and Sunset Oasis for The Falls, best pool/landscaping; Harmony @ Canyon Edge, best overall, under $5 million; The Falls by MonaCo Development, best overall; Palazzo Custom Homes for Roma Paradiso, best overall, honorable mention.
Best of Parade: Bobby Shomer of Krystal Development for transforming the entire lower floor of Bella Toscana into a spalike retreat, best new concept in luxury living; Central California-Nevada Chapter, American Society of Interior Designers for The Falls, best interior design collaboration; Odyssey Lighting for Rio Rosegate, best lighting; Kay Cleary Interiors for Rio Rosegate, best kitchen design; SunWest Custom Homes for its swim-up bar and disappearing glass doors that blur the lines between indoor and outdoor living spaces for Tranquility, best outdoor living; Kiss Cabinets for Rio Rosegate, best cabinetry; Glassic Art for The Falls and Casa Pietra, most exceptional custom accent; R2W for The Falls, best theater/home technology; Humidifalls for its special water filtering and ultraviolet sterlization process that is incorporated into humidifiers that appear as decorative water features for Shi-Engara, best new custom building feature; Tuscany Collection and Academy Tile for The Falls, best stonework; Metal Line Garage System for The Falls, best garage system; Silvas Industries for using LEED-certified materials such as AAC block product that provides greater energy efficiency and TecnoCem stucco that is made of reycled marble dust and requires no paint for Villa de Silva, best green built technology.
