What: The Conservation District of Southern Nevada and the College of Southern Nevada will offer plants specifically for the Mojave area. Hummingbird and butterfly attractors as well as native Mojave plants and desert tortoise food plants will be available. All of the plant material was grown locally by college students and is drought tolerant to promote water conservation.
Where: Acacia Demonstration Gardens, 50 Casa Del Fuego St., Henderson
When: 8 a.m. to noon
Cost: $5 to $15 per plant; cash and check only
What: Spring celebration. Information about growing fruits and vegetables, various types of fertilizers and soils will be presented.
Where: Plant World Nursery, 5301 W. Charleston Blvd.

What: GMJ Interiors will present a color clinic. Participants will learn how to use color and accent paint in their homes. Each will receive a free Color to Go paint sample and other decorating gifts.

What: Drip irrigation; learn complete system installation from the street to the plants, including how to select and assemble components. Build a drip system in class.
