What: Sustainable living: Go solar. Experts from Bombard Renewable Energy will teach participants how to lower their energy costs by using solar power. What: Home Expo Las Vegas. The event specializing in home improvements, remodeling projects and décor will feature a variety of exhibitors, free seminars and the opportunity to speak with experts in their fields.

What: Pruning demonstration. The Las Vegas Valley Rose Society will present the demonstration about proper rose pruning methods. Additionally, information about how to grow and show roses will be featured.

What: Composting in small spaces workshop. Angela O’Callaghan, a social horticulture specialist for the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension, will teach gardeners how to make a balanced compost, as well as provide information about vermicomposting and more. The class is limited to 25 people.
