Eighteen-wheeler brings entertainment solutions

In these challenging economic times, research shows more people are staying home, postponing trips and nights out, and focusing on home entertainment. As people look for better ways to spend time and entertain at home, Lane Home Furnishings has launched a national traveling tour that showcases innovative solutions designed for the way families live today.

Housed in a 1,000-square-foot, custom-built 18-wheeler, the mobile showroom features three complete customized solutions — from the ultimate “man cave” to a stylish “she-den” along with a creative combination of the two.

The tour stops in Las Vegas today and Sunday.

Visitors to the mobile showroom will have the opportunity to see and try out new products from Lane, including pieces from its new Cinema collection that offers leather power recliners with lighted cup holders, ground effect lighting and storage space. Also on display will be a variety of Samsung Touch of Color LCD high-definition televisions.

Additionally, they can view the furniture collection of reality TV family Jon and Kate Gosselin, parents of eight small children, and get a chance to win $2,000 in furniture and other prizes.

The mobile showroom also features a first-of-its-kind computerized survey that allows visitors to determine home entertainment solutions that best match their family’s combined preferences.

The tour will be at RC Willey, 3850 Town Center Drive, today and at Lane Home Furnishings, 5780 Centennial Center Blvd., Sunday. It is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
