It’s out with the old and in with the new at Las Vegas Design Center located at World Market Center Las Vegas. In order to make room for the latest inventory, last year’s items will be sold during the semiannual premarket sample clearance sale. That means deals of as much as 70 percent off Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Showrooms on the first and second floors of buildings A and C will offer items such as designer sofas, chairs, bedroom sets, dining sets, tables, area rugs, lighting, accessories, accent pieces, lamps, wall art, paintings, frames, prints and mirrors and more.

“The goal of this sale is to invite locals in to experience the wonderful designs available right here in our own backyard, year-round,” said Shawn L. McNeace, director of the American Society for Interior Designers’ Design Salon located within the center and owner of the Henderson-based SRI Design Group.

McNeace pointed out that this is a great time to freshen up the style of your home. “It’s an ideal time to add an upholstered piece or new accessories. Even a bright new throw pillow or a savvy lamp can add surprising new life and depth to a room.”

During the sale, ASID members will be on hand to answer decorating questions and help with purchase selections.

“We’re pleased to offer these services not just to our visitors, but to our own neighbors, the residents of Las Vegas. The fact that the prices are unbeatable is just icing on the cake,” McNeace said.

For the first time, there will be no charge for admission to the sample sale.

Cash, Visa, MasterCard and Discover will be the only acceptable forms of payment for purchases. No checks will be accepted. Cash purchases will receive additional discounts.

Deliveries of large merchandise can be arranged for a fee.

Complimentary self-parking and valet parking will be available.

While stroller check will be available, strollers may not be permitted inside the showrooms.

Additionally, Mundo: A Culinary Haute Spot will offer food and drink specials for lunch, happy hour and dinner during the sale. The upscale restaurant’s menu features dishes influenced by Mexico and Spain.

Las Vegas Design Center is located at 475 Grand Central Parkway in downtown.
