Lladró, the Spanish company known for its porcelain sculptures, will celebrate the art of ballet with a new limited edition piece, Backstage Ballet.

To mark the unveiling of the piece, Rose Lladró, president of the company, will visit with Lladró aficionados and sign their purchases during a special event April 28 at the boutique in Fashion Show mall.

The piece, done in classic Lladró colors, depicts three young ballerinas rehearsing before a performance. Only 2,500 sculptures will be available worldwide; it is priced at $2,700.

A journal featuring the sculpture on the cover will be presented as a gift with each purchase.

Lladró is the president of Lladró and has been a member of the Lladró board of directors since 1984. She is the daughter of Juan Lladró, the eldest of the three founding brothers. Together with her father and her sister Ángeles, she sits on Lladró’s creativity committee, the decision-making body for artistic issues.

The signing at the Las Vegas boutique will take place from 5-7 p.m.
