DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION

The Valley of Fire Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will have its 15th annual unserviceable flag retirement ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Southern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City (341-9420).

SONS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION

The Signers Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution will meet at 8 a.m. Saturday at Denny’s, 3081 S. Maryland Parkway (243-8205).

PROPERTY INSPECTORS

The Southern Nevada Association for Professional Property Inspectors meets at 7 p.m. the first Thursday of each month at the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, 3720 Howard Hughes Parkway (531-3002).

MAIFEST

Maifest will take place at 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the German-American Social Club of Nevada, 1110 E. Lake Mead Blvd. in North Las Vegas (649-8503). The festival is free and open to the public.

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT

Carter Powersports will host National Night Out, presented by freestyle motocross rider Carey Hart, from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at 6275 S. Decatur Blvd. (795-2000). The event will feature a drawing to benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and appearances by top factory riders in town competing in the 2007 Supercross Final.

FASHION SHOW

The third annual St. Clare of Assisi Women’s Guild “Derby Day” Fashion Show Luncheon and Auction will run from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday at Green Valley Ranch, 2300 Paseo Verde Drive (914-2175). Tickets are $75 per person and all proceeds will help to build a parish center and the first Catholic school in Henderson.

PLANT SALE

The Las Vegas Chrysanthemum Society will have its annual fundraising plant sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Nevada Garden Club Center, 3333 W. Washington Ave. (459-4633).
