Out & About

Families are invited to spend the afternoon in a 4,500-square-foot simulated underground mine from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the McCaw School of Mines, 57 Lynn Lane, in Henderson.

Free activities include panning for gold and examining more than 150 minerals and other mining artifacts.

Free hot dogs will be provided by The Emerald Island Casino. Dunkin’ Donuts will serve free donuts and coffee.
