Singer Kelis set to shake it at Rain
Nine years ago, Kelis was that hip-hop singer with the novelty “Milkshake” hit that brought all the boys to the yard. These days, she’s a star of electronic-dance music.
Performing tonight at Rain nightclub at the Palms, Kelis Rogers, 32, arrives with her dance-pop hits she cut with DJ-producers over the past three years.
That’s “Spaceship” (her collaboration with Benny Benassi); “Acapella” (produced by David Guetta); “4th of July (Fireworks)”; and most relevant, “Bounce” (she sang lead on that addicting Calvin Harris hit).
