Best known as a member of gritty Memphis crew Three 6 Mafia, Juicy J further elevated his profile last year with his guest turn on Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse.”
That hit played to J’s strengths: lugubrious rhymes delivered over a lazy, serpentine beat meant to mimic the sense-slurring effects of heavy codeine consumption.
