ANAHEIM, Calif. — The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival returns this weekend in person, but for fans who aren’t heading out to the desert there’s more to watch than ever before on the YouTube livestreams from the desert.

Musical performances during weekend one will kick off at 4 p.m. Friday, a few hours after the festival begins at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, and continue through 4 p.m. Monday of the first weekend, with three different livestream feeds running at the same time to cover multiple stages.

The second weekend, the Coachella Curated livestream, which was introduced in 2019, the last time the festival was held, will feature deeper dives into the stories behind some of that artists, encore performances, and more.

The Coachella YouTube channel will also feature interviews with artists, YouTube Shorts features on the festival behind the scenes and YouTube Premium parties.

Also new this year are live chats for fans to talk about the performances on the YouTube Coachella channel, and exclusive festival and artist merchandise available on YouTube Shopping.

The channel will also livestream fashion and beauty coverage from the YouTube Artist Lounge on the festival grounds.

Not every performance on the festival bill will be livestreamed, and details on which performances will be included are still pending. Headliners and other higher profile acts usually are included in the livestream, though.

Livestream performances also sometimes also run at times other than the official set times, so it’s important to double-check when YouTube has scheduled performances to run.
